At Miles, we take privacy seriously. As an AI Chief of Staff, we handle your most personal data, and preserving your trust is our core business functionality.

1. Information We Collect

To function, Miles requires access to various personal data streams:

  • Connected Accounts: Emails, calendars, tasks, and files from services you explicitly connect (e.g., Google Workspace, Outlook).
  • Usage Data: Commands, queries, and interactions you have with the AI.
  • Identity Data: Name, email address, and authentication tokens.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Service:

  • Processing your requests (e.g., "Summarize my emails").
  • Personalizing the AI's context and responses.
  • Refining our internal models (anonymized data only, unless you opt-in to specific feedback programs).

3. Data Stewardship & Security

Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
No Selling: We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
LLM Privacy: We use enterprise-grade APIs that do not train on your data by default.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control. You can request a full data export or deletion of your account at any time. Upon deletion request, your raw personal data is purged from our active databases within 48 hours.

5. Third-Party Services

Miles connects to third-party APIs (like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). While we transmit data to these providers for processing, we limit the scope to what is necessary to fulfill your specific intent.
